DO OR DIE has always been a live band. Formed in 1999 and led by their founder/singer Chris, DO OR DIE always felt comfortable on stage, no matter if it was at the big European festivals, opening for bands such as Hatebreed, Agnostic Front, ProPain and Biohazard or in front of 100 kids in a club, they always put out the same energy as if it was their last show. After the first 7 inch EP "Tears of... Rage" (500 copies sold in less than a month) got released, they immediately started playing shows non-stop all over Benelux and France. Their first full length "Heart Full of Pain" came out in 2001 on I Scream Records. More shows/tours followed and they also recorded their second record, "The Meaning of Honor", in the same year, which was released in early 2002. .... DO OR DIE then faced a tough period in their career.
2004 saw them return with a new line-up and the loudest comeback imaginable, when they played Pressure Fest, Graspop and Fury Fest on the same weekend. "Tradition" got recorded around that time too and was released in 2005, marking their first effort for Alveran Records and the start of their cooperation with M.A.D. Tourbooking, both of which opened the doors to Germany for the band. One of the guitarists left the band in the same year, but the rest of DO OR DIE, already familiar with throwbacks, were not willing to put it down and continued promoting "Tradition" across Germany, Holland, Poland, Sweden, and well known festivals like the Dour Fest, Pressure Fest, With Full Force and even the Superbowl of Hardcore in New York.
The fourth album entitled "Pray for Them" came out in May 2008 and laid down the foundations for the new beginning of DO OR DIE. A brand new personality containing the heritage of the previous albums was born and turned out to be much more aggressive than in "Tradition".
In April 2010, after the arrival of a new bass guitar and of a new rhythmic guitar player, Do Or Die was still on the roads for a fifteen dates or so European tour with Agnostic Front; proof of a great interest from the public as well as from major bands of the hardcore scene. DOD became unquestionably a blue chip of the European metal hardcore!
The band is preparing his new album in order to cross an additional step once again. A few Walloon dates last September and October have still proved the high potential of the group which was welcoming a new second singer at the same time.
Out in early 2012, "The Downfall Of The Human Race" promises to be a success (first pressing sold out within days) and the band is constantly going to defend it internationally!
Motivated as neverbefore, Do Or Die starts writing the sixth album in early 2013.
The arrival of a new bassist and a new drummer with undeniable musical talent brings deeper insight in creating songs, each putting his creativity and virtuosity in the service of an album that promises to be devastating! It's been recorded during late 2014 and went out in early 2015. « Crows » received a warm welcome from the medias and the public. The band is now touring to promote his new album with the same rage as in the beginning !
